A series of events is being held across the Mendips to discuss the services provided by the local authority.

Mendip District Council has organised roadshows in Frome, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet and Street and in Wells as part of a Q&A scheme.

Members of the authority's cabinet will meet residents and answer questions on a range of key local issues.

The council said the roadshows were a chance for people to give feedback.

Mendip District Council leader Harvey Siggs said: "The new Meet the Cabinet sessions have been launched to further strengthen the council's links with local communities and improve engagement with the people of Mendip.

"We are particularly keen to find out about those issues that are affecting our local communities to ensure that we are tackling the things that are of most importance to people in Mendip."

People can find out the dates and venues for the meetings and submit questions in advance via the council's website.
