Plans to build a Sainsbury's store in Somerset have been rejected.

Sainsbury's applied to develop a 55,000 sq ft (5,000 sq m) store and petrol station on an old factory site in Westfield, between Midsomer Norton and Radstock.

The application was unanimously rejected by councillors because of concerns about the impact the store could have on nearby shopping areas.

The site is currently occupied by print and mail firm, CFH Ltd.
