The funeral has taken place of a Somerset woman who was found dead in the remains of her burning car.

The body of Catherine Wells-Burr, 23, from Chard, was discovered by fire crews in her red Ford Focus next to the A358, near Ilminster, in September.

Miss Wells-Burr, who graduated from Bath Spa University with a first-class degree, was remembered at St Mary's Church in Chard.

Her boyfriend, Rafal Nowak, 31, has denied her murder.

Mr Nowak, his former partner Anna Lagwinowicz, 32, and Tadevsz Dmytryszyn, 38, all entered not guilty pleas at Bristol Crown Court earlier this month.

Their trial is due begin in April.

Miss Wells-Burr was discovered in her burnt-out car in a field in Ashill. It is alleged she was killed between 10 and 13 September.
