Free home checks for disabled and older people in Bath

Older people and those registered as disabled are being offered free home heating checks by Bath and North East Somerset Council.

Costs are being met through a £5m fund to help more people to stay at home for longer and retain their independence.

Help includes insulation and heating checks, money-saving advice on bills, and giving out hot water bottles.

Councillor Simon Allen said: "It's making sure everything is being done to keep homes as warm as possible."
