Two people have died in a crash near Cheddar during the early hours of Sunday.
The accident involved two cars on the A371 Axbridge bypass at about 03:00 BST.
The drivers of both cars were killed and a third man who was travelling in one of the cars was taken to hospital where he is in a critical condition.
Avon and Somerset police are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
