London 2012: 814 squadron moves to RNAS Yeovilton
Moving to Somerset will enable the crews to fly more easily to HMS Bulwark in Weymouth Bay
A naval squadron from Cornwall has moved to RNAS Yeovilton to support the security operation at the Olympics in Weymouth and Portland.
The Royal Navy's 814 squadron will work with Dorset police and carry out maritime surveillance in Weymouth Bay.
The 814 Merlins will remain at Yeovilton for the duration of the Olympics and Paralympics so they have easy access to HMS Bulwark.
The naval ship is moored at Weymouth Bay, near the Olympic Sailing Regatta.
