Gloucester traders angry over more work on Kingsholm Road

A water company says it needs to close large stretch of a busy road in Gloucester for the second time in a year for flood prevention works.

But some traders along Kingsholm Road say shutting the road again will put their livelihoods at risk.

Severn Trent Water says the work is essential to protect the city from the risk of flooding, and is promising compensation.

It says engineers hope to have finished in four months' time.
