Prince Andrew has attended a church service in Somerset marking 30 years since the end of the Falklands War.

Veterans, serving officers and family members attended the event at The Fleet Air Arm Memorial Church, known as St Bartholomew's, in Yeovilton.

During the service, the names of the 19 men from the squadron killed during the 1982 conflict were read out.

The prince served with the Fleet Air Arm during the Falklands War.

Lt Cdr Phil Thornton, a Sea King pilot during the conflict, said the loss of comrades was felt every year.

He added: "It's very poignant this year to have this service and see some of the families that lost their loved ones."

The war claimed the lives of 255 UK servicemen.
