New hourly buses to Bristol from Radstock and Midsomer Norton

A new hourly bus service from Radstock and Midsomer Norton to Bristol will launch this spring, Bath and North East Somerset Council has announced.

It is hoped the service, which will begin on 2 April and be run by First, will make journeys more convenient and quicker for local residents.

First said the route will run for three years initially before being reviewed.

Currently there is only one one direct morning peak journey into Bristol and one back in the afternoon.

The new 379 service will run hourly from Radstock via Westfield, Midsomer Norton, Paulton and Hallatrow and is part of the £79m investment in the Greater Bristol Bus Network.

Full timetable information will be available from mid-March.
