Woman dies in Biddisham collision

A woman was killed when the car she was in collided with another vehicle on a road in Somerset.

The 27-year-old woman, who has not been named, was in a car which lost control on the A38 in Biddisham, Axbridge, at 13:35 BST on Saturday.

The victim was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol by air ambulance but later died.

A number of cars were waiting to turn right into Biddisham Lane at the time of the incident.

Avon and Somerset Police has appealed for witnesses to contact officers.
