A lorry containing five tonnes of cream and 12 tonnes of fruit has overturned on the A30 between Chard and Ilminster.

Dorset and Somerset Fire and Rescue were called to the spillage at 0830 BST.

Crews spent several hours soaking up the mess using absorbent material but said none of the cream had entered the water course.

The driver of the lorry was unhurt and the vehicle was righted at 1310 BST before being moved into a nearby field.
