Police searching for a missing man have recovered a body from the River Teme in Ludlow.

Officers began the search for the missing man, whose name has not been revealed, at 09:30 BST.

West Mercia Police Insp Andy Smith said their inquiries had taken them to the River Teme, where fire and rescue teams helped with the search.

The body of a man believed to be in his 40s was removed at 18:35. He has not been formally identified.
