Telford linesman collapses during Blackburn friendly

A linesman has collapsed during a pre-season friendly between Telford and Blackburn Rovers.

The official was reportedly stretchered off about 20 minutes into the game.

A tweet from AFC Telford's account said medical staff ran to the assistant referee's aid after he was spotted "motionless" in front of the west stand.

Play resumed after an eight-minute delay while a replacement linesman was found.

AFC Telford later tweeted to say the man had been "dehydrated" and an ambulance had not been required.
