Boy, 15, admits raping 10-year-old in Shrewsbury

A 15-year-old boy has admitted raping a 10-year-old girl in Shrewsbury last month.

The girl was attacked on waste ground near a car wash on St Michael's Street on 11 April.

The boy, who is from the town but cannot be named because of his age, has been warned by Judge Robin Onions at Shrewsbury Crown Court he faces a lengthy sentence.

A sentencing date will be set once reports on the boy have been completed.
