Much Wenlock land plan referendum to be held on 22 May

A plan that sets out which land can be developed in part of Shropshire will be subject to a referendum on the same day as the European elections.

People in Much Wenlock will be asked if they want Shropshire Council to use the neighbourhood plan for their area to help it decide planning applications.

The initiative, on 22 May, will be Shropshire's first ever neighbourhood plan referendum.

Polling cards were going to about 2,300 electors in the Much Wenlock parish.

The plan includes objectives concerning housing, employment, water, transport, community facilities, green and open spaces, climate change and landscape and wildlife.
