Cpl Geoffrey McNeill: Inquest into Tern Hill death opens

Geoffrey McNeill A second post mortem has been ordered into the death of Cpl McNeill

An inquest has been opened into the death of a soldier at a barracks in Shropshire.

Cpl Geoffrey McNeill, 32, of the Royal Irish Regiment was found dead at Clive Barracks, Tern Hill, near Market Drayton on 8 March.

A second post-mortem examination has been ordered in an attempt to establish the cause of death.

L/Cpl Richard Farrell, 23, also of Clive Barracks, has been charged with his murder.

The inquest in Shrewsbury was adjourned until after the trial.
