Roads in Walsall remain closed after strong winds caused glass to fall from the 10th floor of a tower block.

Two windows fell from the Tameway Tower on Wednesday evening at the height of the bad weather, Walsall Council said.

The Tameway Tower office complex, in Bridge Street, is the tallest building in Walsall.

Freer St, Upper Goodall St and Bridge St were closed as a safety precaution shortly afterwards. Bridge Street and Freer Street remain closed.

Closures will stay in place until further notice, the council said.
