Plans to demolish a Shropshire primary school to build a housing estate on the land have been unveiled.

Telford and Wrekin council said 380 pupils from Grange Park Primary in Stirchley will be moved to a new school being built as part of a £200m scheme.

It said the new Lakeside Co-operative school would be ready by 2015.

The authority wants to build 40 two, three and four bedroom houses on the Grange Park land. The plans will be discussed at a meeting on Wednesday.
