Man arrested over stabbing in Telford

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with a stabbing in Shropshire.

The victim, a man in his early 20s, was found with puncture wounds to his chest on Kemberton Road in Madeley, Telford.

He was discovered at about 17:30 GMT on Tuesday and part of the street was closed overnight.

The man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening, a West Mercia Police spokesman said.
