A 19-year-old man killed in a suspected hit-and-run died from head injuries, tests have shown.

Arnold Higgins's body was discovered near the A529 on Friday morning, between Market Drayton and Adderley.

A post-mortem examination has shown he died as a result of a head injury consistent with being hit by a vehicle.

Police said they had been contacted by several people who said they had seen Mr Higgins walking along the road between 17:00 and 18:00 on Thursday.

They said they were particularly keen to speak to anyone who was travelling out of Market Drayton at that time, who had cause to brake hard because of an oncoming vehicle.
