Motorcyclist dies after crash with van in Dorrington

A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a van in Shropshire.

The man suffered a serious head injury on the A49 in Dorrington at about 12:30 BST on Monday.

He was airlifted to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, but was confirmed dead shortly after arriving there.

The van driver, a man, was treated for the effects of shock and taken by ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as a precaution.
