Man held on suspicion of rape after Telford sex assault

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman who left a nightclub was sexually assaulted in Shropshire.

The woman reported to police that she had been attacked on Saturday in the St Quentin Gate area of Telford, after leaving Vox nightclub alone.

She told police there were two offenders involved. The incident happened between 03:30 and 04:00 BST, the West Mercia force said.

A 29-year-old man was arrested in the Telford area earlier.
