Yeaton Bridge shut for up to four weeks

A bridge in Shropshire will be closed to vehicles for up to four weeks because of repair work.

The bridge parapet at Yeaton Bridge by the River Perry must be taken down and rebuilt after being hit by a vehicle.

Traffic, which would have gone over the river between Yeaton and Grafton, will be diverted through Walford Heath and Leaton Heath.

Access will be maintained for horses, pedestrians and cyclists to pass while the bridge is closed to traffic.
