A woman was pushed into her delivery van in an attempted robbery in Leegomery, police have said.

At about 16:30 BST on Friday a female delivery driver was pushed on to the floor of her van by a youth in Catterick Close.

Police said he searched the delivery bags but ran away empty-handed when the victim screamed for help.

The 33-year-old has since helped police produce a description and an e-fit of a teenager they would like to interview.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "We have released the e-fit today but the man is also described as being white, aged between 17 and 18, as being between 5ft 8" and 5ft 9" tall, with a medium build and as being 'baby faced'."

The youth was described as wearing a red hooded top with white drawstrings and a baseball cap with a white 'NY' logo.
