Dog walker, 46, trampled by cows in Oswestry

A 46-year-old dog walker was injured when he was charged and trampled by a herd of cows in Shropshire.

The man was hurt while walking across a field near the A495 Station Road in Whittington, Oswestry, at 09:15 BST.

He suffered facial, chest and leg injuries when the cows "suddenly charged", a spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The man, who managed to escape, was cared for by passers-by before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
