Nuffield Hospital MRI scanner cable thieves jailed

Two men have been jailed for stealing cable from a hospital MRI scanner in Shropshire.

The pair, along with a teenager, stole cable worth almost £4,000 from Nuffield Hospital in Shrewsbury in May.

Ricky Lee Filmer, 23, of New Park Road, Shrewsbury, Eric Andrew Bennett, 24, of Lime Grove, Oswestry, and the youth all pleaded guilty last month.

Filmer was sentenced to 16 months and Bennett 15 months at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a 12-month youth rehabilitation order.
