Crews put out fire at Stiperstones nature reserve
The fire was reported at about 15:00 BST and put out at around 22:00 BST
Crews have put out a blaze that ripped through a Shropshire nature reserve.
The fire at the Stiperstones in the south Shropshire hills broke out at about 15:00 BST on Tuesday.
The cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious and the hot weather might have contributed to it starting, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
An area of 600m by 600m has been destroyed by the fire, which was brought under control at 22:00 BST.
Crews were on site overnight and remain there to monitor the area throughout the morning, the service said.
