Flood-damaged bridge in Neen Sollars assessed

Help

Engineers assessing flood damage in a south Shropshire village estimate that a bridge which partly collapsed could be closed for three months.

Homes and businesses in Neen Sollars were hit with heavy rain and floodwater on Saturday.

The River Rea was around 20ft higher than normal and part of a Grade II listed bridge collapsed.

Engineers are currently unclear about any damage below water, but hope it can reopen to pedestrians.
