Bridgnorth murder: Two men and woman charged with murder

Three people from the West Midlands have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Shropshire.

Richard Sherratt, 57, was found dead in a first-floor flat at Old School Mews, Bridgnorth, on 14 June.

Michael Smith, 50, of Horton Road, Tipton, Parmajit Singh, 32, from Willmore Road, Perry Barr and Emma Bate, 25, Gladstone Street, Aston are charged with murder and robbery.

They were remanded in custody to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday.

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Sherratt died from head injuries.

In a statement, Mr Sherratt's family said he would "always be remembered for his jovial spirit, strong character and generous nature".
