A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found in a flat in Shropshire.

The man, believed to be aged 57, was found in a first-floor flat in Old School Mews, Bridgnorth, on Thursday.

The woman from Telford was arrested in the early hours and is being interviewed by officers, he added.

Det Ch Insp Steve Tonks appealed for anyone who saw any "suspicious activity" in the Old School Mews area earlier this week to come forward.

"We particularly want people to call us if they heard an argument taking place at premises in Old School Mews or nearby on Wednesday, especially late at night or into the early hours of Thursday," he said.
