Toddler and woman in hospital after Bourton Westwood crash

A toddler and a woman in her 20s were among six people injured a crash in Shropshire, it has emerged.

West Midlands Ambulance service said six people were injured in the incident involving two cars on the B4378 at Bourton Westwood on Saturday.

The young girl was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital with a "serious head injury" and the woman was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Three other people were taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

A spokeswoman from the service said the woman had suffered arm and pelvic injuries.

She also said there were five people in the second car, including a man, two women and two teenagers.

The man was uninjured and the teenagers suffered chest injuries, the service said.

The two women were cut free by Shropshire Fire and Rescue service and taken to hospital for further treatment.
