Mystery over death of 250 fish in Didcot

The Environment Agency is investigating what caused the death of about 250 fish in Oxfordshire.

The fish were found at the Moor Ditch in Didcot on Saturday.

Agency officers have been taking samples of water for testing and the results are expected on Tuesday.

The agency said the deaths were not linked to the demolition of three cooling towers at Didcot Power Station and may have been caused by a pollutant or hot weather.
