A cyclist is being sought in connection with a spate of fires in Banbury.

Three fires broke at about 02:15 BST when petrol was poured on to cash machines at banks in the High Street, destroying them.

A short time later petrol was also poured through the letterbox of Freemasons Hall in Marlborough Road, setting the building alight.

Officers said they want to speak to a man on a bike wearing a floppy fishing hat, baggy jeans and a dark coat.

They have also released a CCTV image of a cyclist they are hoping to trace in connection with the fires.

The High Street was closed overnight but has since reopened.

No-one was injured in the four fires.
