Deddington basement body find death 'unexplained'

A man has been found dead in an outside basement area of a property in an Oxfordshire village.

It is believed the man, who was in his late sixties, fell into the sunken area of the building in Deddington High Street at about 00:30 BST.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said his death was being treated as unexplained and officers would remain at the property while investigations are carried out.
