Shopkeeper injured in armed robbery in Littlemore

A shopkeeper was injured when he was attacked by armed robbers in his Oxford store.

Two men went into the newsagents on the Cowley Road in Littlemore just after midday on Sunday and demanded cash.

One of them was armed with a knife, the other had a hammer. A fight broke out and the men grabbed the till before fleeing on bicycles.

The shopkeeper was later taken to hospital with injuries to his arm and knee.
