Carterton gunman steals money from newsagents

A gunman threatened a newsagent worker as he stole money in a late-night raid in Oxfordshire.

The man made his demands after walking into McColls in Burford Road, Carterton, at 22:00 GMT on Saturday.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money towards the B4020 Upavon Way. No shots were fired and no-one was hurt.

Thames Valley Police said the only description of the raider was that he was white and wore dark clothing. Officers appealed for witnesses.
