Two women and five children were subjected to a "traumatic" burglary when a group of men forced their way into their Oxfordshire home.

The victims, from Ferriston, Banbury, initially heard noises from an unoccupied house next door and opened the front door to investigate.

Five to six men leaving that property then pushed their way inside and stole items of jewellery.

Det Sgt Jim Holmes said it was a "traumatic and stressful incident".

The men also stole gold bangles from one of the women, searched the house, and fled the area on foot.
