Residents jump to safety from Blackbird Leys house fire
Five people have escaped from a house fire, which police believe was started deliberately, by jumping from a first floor window.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Mallard Close, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, at 02:45 GMT.
A 33-year-old man sustained a broken leg in the jump. All five people were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
Fire and crime officers are investigating at the scene.
The four other residents - two men, aged 27 and 48, and two women, aged 20 and 27 - all sustained non life threatening injuries.
