Banbury unexplained death: Man is bailed

A man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a woman in Oxfordshire has been bailed.

Anne-Marie Gale, 27, was found unresponsive by paramedics and police on Wednesday evening in Dover Avenue, Banbury.

She was taken to Horton General Hospital where she died. A post-mortem examination was inconclusive.

The 49-year-old man, from Banbury, has been released on bail until 27 March.

Thames Valley Police said it was waiting for further toxicology results.

    On the A44 there are the usual queues from Yarnton to the Wolvercote roundabout.

    There's heavy traffic on the A415 from Standlake to Newbridge and it's busy from Fyfield Wick to Frilford.

    Ebola virus trial 08:23: Fergus Walsh Medical correspondent

    A trial of an experimental vaccine against the Ebola virus is to begin in Oxford.


    The first of 60 healthy volunteers will be injected with the vaccine. It contains only a small portion of genetic material from the virus, so it cannot cause the disease.

    Normally it would take years of human trials before a completely new vaccine was approved for use.

    The A34 has very heavy traffic southbound from the M40 Junction 9 to the Hinksey Hill Interchange, with congestion onto the Oxford ring road contra-flow.

    This is also causing northbound A34 traffic to queue from Abingdon North.
