Henley parking warden spat at over fine

A truck driver spat in the face of a parking attendant when he found the man trying to issue a fine, police said.

The Henley Town Council attendant was issuing a charge in Hart Street when the owner of the Ford flatbed vehicle returned and began a heated exchange.

He spat at the warden before driving away at speed through a red light. He then reversed the wrong way out of a one-way street.

A man, 22, has been bailed on suspicion of assault and careless driving.

The incident happened on Wednesday.
