Man dies and woman hurt in crash near Colden Common

A man died and a woman suffered life-threatening injuries when their car came off the road and crashed in Hampshire.

They were in an old-style red Mini travelling along the B2177 Portsmouth Road between Colden Common and Lower Upham when the crash happened.

Police said the man, 24, died at the scene and the woman, 21, was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

The road was closed overnight after the accident at about 22:20 BST on Friday.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the crash, or the car being driven before the crash.
