Tractor crash death: Motorist Andrew Myers jailed

A motorist has been jailed for 18 months for causing a crash with a tractor which killed a work colleague.

Andrew Myers, from Birmingham, admitted causing death by driving dangerously on the A40 near Witney in September.

The front seat passenger in his Land Rover Discovery, Herve Bakundukize, 29, died in hospital from serious injuries.

Myers, 46, was also disqualified from driving for three years. The 24-year-old tractor driver, from Witney, suffered a serious back injury.

Myers, from Hazelwell Crescent, Stirchley must also sit an extended re-test following his disqualification.

Oxford Crown Court heard his silver Land Rover Discovery collided with the tractor and a second vehicle, a black Land Rover Discovery just before 15:00 BST on 5 September.
