Oxford man injured in Blackbird Leys 'baseball bat' attack

A man seriously injured in an assault in Oxford may have been attacked with a baseball bat, police believe.

The victim, in his 20s, is in a serious condition in hospital after sustaining injuries to his upper body.

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the altercation in Dunnock Way, Blackbird Leys.

Police were called to the area at 23:40 BST on Saturday and their investigations are continuing.

Three 18-year old men, three 19-year-old men and a 52-year-old woman, all from Oxford were arrested at the scene.
