Abingdon man charged with sex offences

A 28-year-old man from Oxfordshire has been charged with 16 counts of sexual offences against girls.

The charges against Paul Townsend of Hadland Road, Abingdon, relate to alleged offences against four people between May 2010 and August 2012.

Charges include sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, sexual activity with a girl under 13 and sexual assault on a female aged 16 or over.

He has been bailed to appear before Oxford Magistrates' Court on 10 April.
