Sawn-off shotgun found in Wallingford garden

A shotgun and class A drugs have been recovered after a car crashed in Oxfordshire.

The sawn-off shotgun was recovered in a garden by police on Friday night after an orange Peugeot 206 was found on its roof in a car park in Wallingford.

A man, 22, and a woman, 26, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

Police said the firearm was not fired during the incident.

Det Sgt Darren Cartwright said: "I would like to reassure people that no-one was threatened with the firearm."
