Overturned lorry The A40 was shut from Burford to Minster Lovell

A road in west Oxfordshire was closed after a lorry carrying fruit overturned.

The A40 was shut from Burford to Minster Lovell after the crash on the eastbound section, at about 06:00 GMT, near the Asthall Barrow roundabout.

The Highways Agency and recovery services attended the scene to help remove the vehicle.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the road reopened in both directions just before 18:00.
