More than 1,000 mourners attend funeral in Wantage

More than 1,000 mourners have attended a funeral in Oxfordshire for a member of the traveller community.

Police warned businesses in Wantage to expect a large turnout before the funeral at the Church of St Peter and St Paul earlier.

Thames Valley Police spokesperson Rhianne Pope said: "Neighbourhood officers spoke to local pubs and businesses ahead of the funeral."

The name of the deceased has not been formally released.
