Oxfordshire arrests over stun guns

A man and a woman have been arrested following the discovery of stun guns at a property in south Oxfordshire.

Police officers discovered two weapons in Woodhill Lane, East Challow, on Friday morning.

Insp Martin Ford, from Thames Valley Police, said: "We carried out the warrant following some intelligence that we received from the community."

A man, 26, and woman, 22, were arrested on suspicion of possession of prohibited weapons and are in custody.

The two guns, prohibited under the firearms act, were seized by officers.

Insp Ford added: ""Our community is important to us.

"It is our priority to make sure that the area remains a safe place to be and we will continue to crack down on the small minority who choose to commit crime here."
