Oxford's roads 'a danger' to cyclists

Help

Cyclists say they are being put in danger because of the poor quality of Oxford's roads.

The city council wants a bigger share of the county's road maintenance budget to tackle potholes on its busy roads, but county officials say there is not the money to pay for it all.

City councillor Susanna Pressel says there is more "wear and tear" on city roads so they need more attention.

But county councillor Rodney Rose says the city is getting "it's fair share" cannot be prioritised.
