Two armed men raid Brize Norton petrol station

Two men wearing motorcycle helmets and armed with hammers have robbed an Oxfordshire petrol station.

The raiders threatened staff at the BP garage on Carterton Road, Brize Norton, before fleeing with cash in the early hours of Monday.

They left in a red VW Golf with a registration plate beginning with L and were last seen heading towards Brize Norton village.

No one was injured in the raid and police are appealing for witnesses.
